If you're seeing an upgrade prompt when creating a new template — even though you think you haven't reached your limit — here are the most common reasons why.

You have multiple businesses

If you have more than one business under the same account, templates from all businesses count toward your total template limit. For example, if you have 3 templates in one business and 2 in another, your account has used 5 templates total — even if each business is below the limit individually.

You have archived templates

Archived templates still count toward your template limit. To create new ones, you'll need to permanently delete templates you no longer use.

How to free up template space

  1. Go to Templates in the left navigation menu.
  2. Click the Archived tab to see all archived templates.
  3. Delete any templates you no longer need by clicking the dropdown menu and selecting Delete.
  4. Repeat for any unused templates in your other businesses.

Note: Deleting templates is permanent. Make sure you no longer need a template before deleting it.
