Best Practice:
To avoid having to change your account email address due to personnel changes, we recommend that you use a role-based or service account email instead of a personal email address.
Before You Begin
- You will need to be an organization owner or organization admin to change the email address.
Change Email Address
Change account or organization email address from the current one to a new one. This involves creating a new email address and then transferring ownership.- Log in to Docubee with your current email address.
- Invite the new email address to the organization. Note: See Add/Invite Member to Organization in Add, Update, and Remove Organization Members for information on inviting members.
- Log out.
- In the invitation email you receive, click the link to accept the invitation and be confirmed as a member of the organization.
- Log out.
- Log in to Docubee again with your current email address.
- Transfer organization ownership to the new email address. The current email address will lose organization owner permissions and the new one will acquire it.
- Remove the old email address from the list of organization members since the new email address is now the organization owner. Note: See Remove Member from Organization in Add, Update, and Remove Organization Members for information on removing members.
- Log out.
